iWoz Here

Last night I finished my conversation with Steve Wozniak by reading his book iWoz. That's really what it feels like, a conversation; as if he's right there telling you the story. A lot of what he says could sound like pure ego talking if it didn't have his excitable charm attached to it. Anyway, his final chapter containing the advice was golden and inspiring. Really it's the standard "follow your dreams" jazz, except he's telling you this after enumerating all of the amazing things he's done.

I actually got to Tully's before they opened this morning. I didn't expect that. I looked up from walking to see the lights off and just stopped right in my tracks, thinking "what the heck"? I mean, Starbucks' lights were on. So I ended up sitting down on a neighboring bench outside in the cold for a couple of minutes.

Most of what I'm working on here, and have been, is JavaScript and C# in a webservice for my day job; I don't have much to detail. However I am poking around ideas and sites for my webcam to put up on masta.us. I plan to have a picture stored every 5 minutes if there is motion detected. I might later change that, but I bought this motion detection program so why not start with that? I'm looking into Amazon S3 for storing and serving the pictures, since the amount of data will be more than I want to put into Subversion. Plus it doesn't need to be versioned, each picture is a version in a way.
